Uncle Anders chair from Östra Ljungby
Uncle Anders was a farmer and he farmed his entire life in Skåne, in the small village of Östra Ljungby. His wife came from the nearby village of Källna.
This chair was in their home. It is a well-built folk chair, probably from a local carpenter. And it is well-built in flamed birch, it is stained brown, and has an upholstered seat. It is probably from the late 19th century or early 20th century.
'With a very personal style, like a mix of Karl-Johan, Empire and so on with Gustavian front legs. Country furniture is often a mix of styles.
